"Anthropology is a dynamic department that excels in both teaching and research. We are committed to using anthropology to explore the predicaments of contemporary society, at home and abroad. Our faculty enjoy an international reputation for their investigations of a wide range of issues, including human rights, development, religion, the politics of identity, gender and household relations, science and society, and political movements. We received a rating of 'Excellent' in the latest assessment of teaching quality by the Higher Education Funding Council.
